SOA conference kick starts in Bangalore

Bangalore: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is gaining momentum with enterprises increasingly understanding the business value of this approach. Giving insights into this architecture approach that adds business value and increases IT efficiency is Step-Auto 2008 that kicked off in Bangalore today. When the exponents of SOA like Rangan Devarajan, Senior Vice President, Head - Technology Development, Symphony Services, G.N.Srinivas, Head, SOA Competency Center HP, Bangalore dwelled into the future world of SOA and approaches to successful implementation of SOA, it was a learning experience for the 200 test engineers and architects who attended the event. The event was inaugurated by G.N.Srinivas, Head, SOA Competency Center, HP, Bangalore. He said that SOA is much more than technology and business, and needs constant evaluation and research..Srinivas pointed out that most enterprises lack a center of Excellence for SOA. In his keynote address on the future of SOA Rangan Devarajan, Senior Vice President, Head - Technology Development, Symphony Services highlighted the need for standardization in SOA. Rajaram Venkataramani, Principal Architect, Architecture Center of Excellence at Cognizant Technology Solutions shared his thoughts on "fundamentals of SOA". In the next two days, the event will witness talks by SoA experts from other companies like Thought Works, Accenture, IBM and Infosys. The conference will also have a panel discussion on "SOA Implementation: Challenges and Business Value". The event is hosted by ISQT Process & Consulting Services.
