SAP to dole out $1B for investments in India

NEW DELHI: SAP, the world’s largest maker of business software will invest $1 billion in India over the next five years, a top company official said. Henning Kedarmann, the CEO of Waldorf, Germany based company said “The company would be increasing the headcount to 3,500 employees by the end of this year as compared to the current 2,750 employees.” The company had earlier invested € 20million to build phase-I and II of SAP Labs India campus. SAP has also revealed plans of setting up its office at Gurgaon. This would be in addition to the facility already has in Bangalore.
