BANGALORE: SAP India, the leading provider of enterprise solutions, announced that across the last couple of quarters, it has added a slew of prestigious customers who were earlier operating on competing business application solutions. Elaborating on this trend, Alan Sedghi, President and Managing Director, SAP India Sub-Continent said, “With the existing momentum and the vibrancy in the Indian economy, organizations across verticals are finding themselves on a high growth path. Recognizing technology as one of the key business enablers, enterprises look for a secure, stable and superior technology platform that will help them manage their business, as well as leverage these emerging opportunities. SAP is being increasingly seen as a safe choice – the experienced, long-term industry leader that helps companies better manage their business and achieve growth through innovation.” Some of the recent customers of SAP who have migrated from their existing operational systems to SAP are Tata Teleservices, Sundaram Clayton and MindTree Consulting. All of them evaluated and chose SAP to replace their existing application platforms. Tata Teleservices – a wholly owned telecom company of the Tata Group – has decided to move to SAP from its existing ERP solution. The move, which came after a careful and lengthy evaluation, was triggered by the inability of the existing solution to keep pace with the explosive growth, fast changing business needs and the inherent flexibility required by them. Implementation is currently underway and the roll out will be across all the 18 circles that the organization is currently operating. Sundaram Clayton, a leading player in the global auto component market successfully migrated from their earlier ERP system to SAP recently. The evolving needs of a company with growing global operations, coupled with the breadth and depth of functionality that they seek from their ERP systems made them chose SAP. Added Alan Sedghi, “A common and abiding theme that we see is that companies that are growing or are on the threshold of massive growth, inevitably turn to SAP as their preferred vendor.”
