Riaz Chaudhry is Pictos' VP Operations

NEWPORT BEACH: Pictos Technologies, a supplier of semiconductors and software for digital-imaging applications, said it has appointed Riaz Chaudhry vice president of operations.
Chaudhry previously served as vice president of engineering for Microtune's wireless connectivity division. He also serverd as vice president of operations for Silicon Wave and LinCom Wireless, and has held management and engineering positions while at Texas Instruments, Cypress Semiconductor, National Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices, and Motorola.
Pictos has raised $17 million in venture capital to date. It is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Conexant, Alloy Ventures, United Investments, Prudence Capital, and Sheng-Hua Venture Capital.
