Revolt Technology appoints Ram Malhotra CEO

TRONDHEIM: Ram P. Malhotra has been appointed as a CEO of Trondheim, Norway based developer of zinc-air rechargeable batteries, Revolt Technology.
Before joining Revolt Technology AS, Malhotra served as COO and vice president at design services firm Mikron AG, where he directed components operations in Asia. Malhotra previously held positions with Altech International Inc. and Dow Chemicals Europe.
Revolt Technology develops batteries to enable high-powered consumer devices particularly mobile phones, digital cameras and personal computers and to increase the lifespan of those devices.
The company closed an $8.8 million first round of funding in June 2005. Participants in that round included Northzone Ventures, Sofinnova Partners, Techno Venture Management and Viking Ventures.
