Mumbai: Reliance Industries Ltd., (RIL) crossed the $45 billion market capitalization mark, making it the third Indian company to reach the coveted mark. Market shares of Reliance India's fist and only private sector company to feature in the Fortune Global 50 list of the world's largest corporations, touched a 52-week high on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in early trades to breach the market capitalization mark of $45 billion, but later settled at $44.2 billion. State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. (ONGC), India's leading fuel producer, crossed the mark last year, following IT major Wipro's similar feat, riding the technology boom in 2000. Market analysts say that with RIL reaching the milestone, its investors stand to become millionaires themselves.
