Reliance Infra Quarterly Operating Income up 66 Percent

Mumbai: Reliance Infrastructure posted a 66 percent rise in operating income at 6,130 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, against 3,686 crore during the like period of the previous financial year. Net profit increased marginally at 408 crore during the quarter under review from 405 crore during the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing. The cash profit of the firm rose 3.7 percent at 557 crore during the October-December quarter against 537 crore during the like quarter of 2010-11. On consolidated basis, the net worth of the company stood at 24,868 crore. The company also said it remained debt free on a standalone basis. At the Bombay Stock Exchange the shares of the company closed 2.33 percent up at 615.85.
