RelQ to increase headcount, invest $3M

BANGALORE: RelQ, a software testing and validation & verification (V&V) services provider announced its plans to double its headcount in the next six months. At present the staff strength is 550, which will be increased to 1000. Besides the company is also investing $3 million in the development of infrastructure and Test Labs. Announcing the plans, RelQ’s Co-founder and President, Prakash Mutalik said, “Companies increasingly appreciate the total cost of quality for launching new products. RelQ's growth is attributed to our strong commitment to our customers, stringent process, extensive global experience and familiarity in most industry verticals. We forecast similar momentum in the future and expect doubling of all key indicators of successful, rapid growth in the coming years.” The company’s revenues have significantly grown and profits more than doubled in the last calendar year 2005. RelQ's growth comes from the addition of new customers and an expanded focus on new segments and markets. Mutalik said, “Our future growth is expected to come from strong demand from our existing clients and those we have added recently. To help this growth, RelQ is preparing to further sharpen its skills in Test technology/tools in Enterprise, Embedded software domains.” The company is one of the few companies in the world that have expertise in game testing across all the platforms and formats, he added.
