Rapidigm to launch operations in Dubai, U.K

PUNE: The information technology service provider Rapidigm (India) Ltd is all set to launch operations in Dubai and the U.K. Announcing this, Rapidigm’s Managing Director, Vivek Talghatti said, “We have identified the Gulf as the growing market for IT services. We plan to be a one-stop shop for offerings in the supply chain management (SCM), ERP and Business Intelligence segments.” The company would launch its operations in the next four months. Rapidigm was looking at onsite-offshore model and in the Oracle application implementation as also support from offshore, he said. The Dubai operation would be handled by 10 people onsite and Rapidigm was looking at the development of the market through partners, own business and direct clients. Besides, the company is also opening an office in the U.K, which would be catering mostly to the markets of the Gulf and Europe. Talghatti noted that the company's core expertise was in the implementation of enterprise applications such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, e-business and managed services. Asked whether Rapidigm's entry into the country was a little late, Talghatti noted that though the company began operation here only from 2000, it was now all set to ramp it up. The company plans to increase its headcount by 600 employees within the next eight to 12 months. At present it has three development centers in India, Pune, Noida and Hyderabad and a marketing office in Bangalore.
