RPG Telenet bags Rs 13.5 crore order from Oil India

MUMBAI: RPG Telenet Solutions, a division of RPG Cables Ltd, has bagged a Rs 13.5 crore contract from Oil India Ltd for laying of 948 km optical fibre network spanning from Naharkatiya to Barauni in the north-east. RPG has been awarded four segments out of the five by the Government-owned entity and work is expected to be completed within eight months, the company said in a release on Monday. "Our foray into telecom infrastructure projects business has been successful and we are now qualified to bid directly as well as in partnership with international players, which should help the business to grow further," RPG Cables managing director Anand Jatkar said. RPG Telenet has already executed projects for Power Grid Corporation, Reliance Infocomm, Idea Cellular, MTNL and Escotel.
