RCOM enters into a hiring spree

Mumbai: Reliance Communications (RCOM) went into a hiring spree just before Mukesh Ambani's telecom venture starts employing. RCOM has recruited over half a dozen senior executive to strengthen its management structure reports Amrita Nair of The Economic Times. In order to efficiently run its CDMA and GSM platforms and to have an edge in the 3G services, RCOM has hired some notable persons from the industry. Sitapathy Chavali, an ex Vodafone Essar employee has been recruited as wireless CTO for RCOM. Being an expert in 3G and BWA, she had worked with Idea Cellular and Lucent Technologies (US).Ex -Bharti Airtel executive Nagesh Rajanna has been appointed as the National Sales and Distribution Head. Other executives who have been poached from other companies are Anuraj Prashar from Airtel and Naresh Gupta from Vodafone Essar. The Rs 4,800 Infotel buy of Reliance has made a buzz in the telecom industry with senior level officials expecting a call from the head hunters.
