MUMBAI: US based Qualcomm Incorporated, the developers of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology has commended Reliance Infocomm, India’s largest CDMA operator for exceeding 10 million subscribers on its CDMA2000(R) 1X wireless network. "Since launching CDMA2000 1X service in May 2003, Reliance has demonstrated a low subscriber churn rate and established itself as a leader in low-cost, high-quality wireless data services," Qualcomm said in a statement. "Reliance Infocomm's success in reaching 10 million subscribers marks a significant milestone in fulfilling the promise of CDMA2000 1X in the Indian market and demonstrates its commitment to providing superior value-added services to its customers in a cost effective manner," said Jeff Jacobs, president of global development for Qualcomm.
