QAD opens Global Resource Center in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Global enterprise applications provider QAD Inc has established a global resource center (GRC) in Mumbai. The center would provide application support, consulting services, and R&D activities to support QAD's applications and products for customers worldwide.
The company has planned to recruit an initial 110 application consultants, technical specialists and software engineers and other technical resources to work at the new facility. It would be the Center of Excellence for QAD products and operate as a global hub of QAD expertise, according to the companys statement.
The GRC would be supported by QAD's existing development and resource centers in the U.S., Australia, China and Ireland. The companys Asia-Pacifics Service Director, Anton Chilton said, India is core to QAD's global strategy. Our operations here demonstrate our commitment to India but also serve to reinforce and greatly enhance QAD's ability to deliver cost-efficient global solutions and services.
QAD has been present in India for more than 10 years with focus on the manufacturing industry. It has over 130 customers in India, including both global and Indian manufacturing companies.
