CHENNAI: IT major Polaris Software Lab on Thursday said it has entered into a strategic alliance with US-based IT services firm CTG to provide outsourcing services to banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients in the United States and Europe. "The alliance combines CTG's expertise in delivering large scale, comprehensive IT outsourcing services to BFSI clients in the US and Europe with Polaris Software's extensive, CMMi Level 5-rated offshore outsourcing services," a statement by Chennai-based Polaris said. This alliance will provide BFSI clients with the quality and cost benefits offered by Polaris' offshore centres, and the ability to drive measurable business results using both companies' in-depth business knowledge and CTG's onsite engagement management expertise, it said. "The partnership offers the BFSI industry the best of both the worlds in one outsourcing solution," CTG chairman and CEO James Boldt said. Polaris executive director Govind Singhal said, "By partnering with CTG, Polaris expands its presence in the US and European markets, enabling us to bring our knowledge and extensive domain expertise in serving global financial institutions to large and mid-sized financial service providers." Under the terms of the pact, an established governance committee will manage all engagements, supervised by an executive committee made up of the leadership of both firms, he said.
