Plantronics introduces wireless headsets for fixed-line phones

NEW DELHI: Plantronics Inc. (NYSE:PLT) today launched the CS60, a wireless telephone headset system for use in offices. The CS60 is an ergonomically designed headset that connects to the fixed line, extending the benefits of hands free communications to fixed-line users. The product enhances employee productivity by allowing professionals to accomplish multiple tasks and stay connected while moving around the office. The CS60 is priced at 22,000 and is available through Plantronics' distributors in India Commenting on the launch of the CS60, Mr. Bobby Joseph, Country Manager, Plantronics said, ""One of the main benefits of the wireless office is that employees can deal with telephone enquiries while away from their workstations." "Plantronics' headsets are aimed at organizations looking to increase employee efficiency by empowering them with the latest tools and technologies. The CS60 wireless headset system offers excellent sound quality and hands free wireless freedom up to 100m from a desk. The lightweight and stylish headset can be converted into 3 styles: over the ear, headband and a unique behind the neck design. It has a talk time of up to 9 hours and users can even take calls when they are away from the desk using the optional handset lifter. The IntelliStand(tm) feature senses when the headset has been removed from the base automatically lifting the handset and directing a call into the headset. These lightweight wireless headsets (weight: 27.5 g) use digital encryption to provide secure communications. The headsets also feature a noise-canceling microphone for clear conversations.
