Bangalore: After a slogging week, there is a long weekend for all the employees in IT companies. The Diwali plans could be grand, for the festival is lined up events. Usually companies relieve their employees for a day or two during this festival of light with bonuses and sweets. What is so special about Diwali? Probably, everyone would agree that its one of those occasions when the real sense of companionship comes at the same level. No matter, if you are a trainee, manager or a CIO, one cannot escape the spirit of Diwali, where all the employees of the organization are distributed the same gifts and sweets. For celebrations cakes ofcourse, takes the main menu and corporates too don't miss it, however, this year the shapes in demand are quite interesting to see. "We are getting a lot of orders from companies for our diya shaped cakes and photo-based cakes, where they prefer their company group photos. The photos are made of edible ink with a flavored base as preferred by the companies," said one of the employees of Just Bake. IT companies have already charted out their plans for Diwali. The occasion seems to be quite special and relaxed for the employees and the CXOs too join them in a full festival mood. Though for each one awaits a big celebration back at home yet celebrating with office colleagues has a different charm. "We are a small team of 90 people. We had some important priorities for which we had planned to celebrate Diwali on Wednesday. We thoroughly enjoyed at office and on this occasion we have called it a day off at office, so that all our employees can have a great day with their family and friends," said Sameer Shelke, Co-Founder, COO & CTO of Aujas Networks. Some organizations believe in doing something good during Diwali. Special plans and declarations are made during this festival. "On this special occasion, we first communicate about the achievements of the company to our employees and thank them for their contribution," said Nagendra Venkaswamy, President, Tejas Networks. These days as the organisations are getting advanced and tech-savvy, even the orders for Diwali gifts and Diyas are being placed online.
