Permeative Technologies won Siliconindia mobile app contest 2010

Bangalore: The one time dull device for just making and receiving calls has now become a way of life for many. And well, the plethora of opportunities provided by the mobile is far more advantageous than the desktop. The number of applications that are being developed in the country are increasing day by day and thus create a competition. The startups always had the challenge of exposing their product and understanding the need of the hour. The Mobile Application Conference conducted by Siliconindia provided the right platform for the startups to showcase their products and in the competition, Permeative Technologies, A Bangalore based startup, have won the contest. Innovative projects like India Radio, which provides 104 Indian Radio stations; Games like Freecell; educational application called "Typing class" which enables to learn fast typing and Radio Recording in which the user can connect to radio to the server are some of the outstanding applications from Permeative Technologies. Around 15 Startups like Divum, Interworld Commnet, Lachiya software Systems, Softtrends, Trignon, Vernalis Systems, WIN IT etc. showcased their applications and participated in the contest. A panel of five judges evaluated the participants. "It was an exciting platform for the developers to participate in the application contest with the unique creation that works on mobile devices, a good networking platform to know each other, and listen to the expert to understand the changing trends" said DP Samantarai, one of the participants. Vernalis brought out a distinct product called Live connect - web-based Instant Messenger tool with a sophisticated routing engine that helps organizations to 'Connect to their customers, instantly'. Ennovasys's PistaSuite , an integrated RFID and GPS-based location engine offering Supply Chain visibility and MINT, a Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) that makes ERP applications mobile-ready. SMS Balcony - A product from Experion, which collaborates with telecom service providers to simplify movie reservation process on a J2ME platform were some of the leading applications that were showcased.
