Passenger car sales up 41% in May

NEW DELHI: Passenger car sales rose 41% to 55,166 units in May, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in New Delhi today.
The statement added that car sales in April-May increased to 97,672 units from 72,345 in the year-ago period.
Motorcycle sales was up 7% in May to 3,47,059 units from 3,23,792 units in May 2002, it added.
