PGS plans BPO services to third-party customers

BANGALORE: Phoenix Global Solutions (PGS) plans to provide business process outsourcing (BPO) services to third party customers within the next three months. The firm's 50-odd BPO team currently does only captive work. B Satish, managing director, PGS, said that the process of acquiring external customers was expected to take two to three months. The firm also does software development at its center in Bangalore for customers across the globe. Currently, 40% of PGS' development is captive. Phoenix provides business application and consulting services and also provides BPO services to insurance, banking, healthcare and automobile industries. Meanwhile, Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna on Monday opened the first phase of PGS' 6.6 acre 'Think Campus' at Electronics city, on the outskirts of Bangalore. The firm has leased this campus, which can house 1,000 employees. PGS currently has a headcount of 400. The firm's campus has an energy-efficient geodesic come and houses a data center, academy of learning, customer experience center and management center.
