NEW DELHI: Personal computer sales touched 2.34 million units during the first half of the current fiscal, registering a growth of 36 percent over H1 of last fiscal. Announcing the findings, Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (MAIT), which tracks the PC industry, said PC sales were expected to touch 4.7 million units in the current fiscal. The association has revised the projection upwards from the earlier 4.25 million units for the entire fiscal on the back of strong anticipated sales across sectors. "Buoyancy in the first half can be attributed to high corporate consumption, robust sales in small towns and launch of sub 10,000 PC," Vinnie Mehta, Executive Director, MAIT said here.
