PC sales cross five million mark

NEW DELHI: Personal computer sales have crossed the five million-unit mark in 2005-06, registering a 32 percent growth over the previous fiscal. Overall shipments of personal computers, including desktops and notebooks, is expected to exceed six million units in the current fiscal, with desktop sales alone expected to account for 5.6 million, according to industry tracking body MAIT (Manufacturers Association of Information Technology).
