PAC to launch IT aptitude test for job seekers

BANGALORE: San Francisco based Professional Aptitude Council(PAC) today announced the launch of a globally accepted, job aptitude test for IT professionals. Touted as the Industry’s first comprehensive, standardized test in the field, the exams are set to begin in the first week of April. PAC, that ahs recently started Indian operations, aims at assisting engineering students to secure programming jobs. This is the only test that measures applied technical skills as well as psychometric factors, a company official said. The PAC exam is currently undergoing a pilot test in leading IT companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Oracle and Cognizant among others. Links with academia are also being planned with about 60 campuses currently being contacted for implementation of the exam. The exams are similar to the standardized exams like GMAT or the GRE.
