Over 270 cos participating in BangaloreIT.in

BANGALORE: The eight edition of BangaloreIT.in 2005 will take off on Wednesday. Over 270 companies are participating, including 120 international and 150 local firms in the four days event to showcase their technologies. Announcing this the Karnatak’s IT Secretary, M K Shankarlinge Gowda said, “The response to this year's event is encouraging. Overseas participation is tremendous as 18 nations are bringing in their delegations compared to 12 last year.” Besides Karnataka, 16 other States are also participating in the event, which will also focus on promoting the secondary cities as IT destinations, he said. The countries from Europe such as the U.K., Spain, France and Bavaria, among other countries such as Australia, China, Mexico and Taiwan have shown great interest in this event. Software Technology Parks of India, Bangalore’s Director, B V Naidu said that the event had proved to be a perfect platform for exploring joint ventures, exchanging information, networking, headhunting, fund sourcing and finalizing business deals.
