La Jolla: Ortiva Wireless, a provider in dynamic delivery of rich mobile content has announced that it has been named a 2008 Top Ten Wireless Technology Company by SiliconIndia. The magazine's annual list honors Ortiva's Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Sujit Dey, for developing the Ortiva mobile Video Optimization Gateway (mVOGTM), a solution that enables mobile operators to ensure the clearest and smoothest mobile video quality for subscribers. SiliconIndia's annual list recognizes technology companies founded and managed by Indians within the U.S. that are setting performance precedents in the wireless market. A distinguished panel of public company executives, venture capitalist professionals and analysts selected this year’s winners. "With this approach, operators can maximize network efficiency, improve subscriber density, and expand overall mobile video coverage," said Dey. Ortiva's solution, deployed in numerous tier one operator trials, enables mobile network operators to increase customer satisfaction, revenue and retention. In addition, mobile network operators gain greater coverage and control, better utilize network resources, and reduce customer support costs.
