BANGALORE: Oracle today announced the first integrated release of its Identity Management suite since acquiring Oblix in March last. The release delivered the industry's most complete identity solution to safeguard information, critical systems and applications against unauthorized access across heterogeneous computing environments, a company release here said. Serving as the security backbone for Oracle Fusion Middleware, the new release brought together the best identity management capabilities from Oracle and Oblix. Organizations could use the solution to manage enterprise-wide identities for Oracle and non-Oracle technologies as it extended support to all leading applications, directories and platforms, the release said. ''When we acquired Oblix, Oracle provided an outline for how we would rapidly integrate Oblix technology with Oracle's existing identity offerings. This release marks the first milestone delivering on that commitment and brings together the best features and technologies that will help us to meet the strong demand for Oracle's identity products,'' Oracle Vice-President (Security and Identity Management Products) Hasan Rizvi said. The new release of Oracle Identity Management included a number of enhancements to its COREid Access and Identity, COREid Federation, COREid Provisioning and Web Services Manager components of the suite.
