OlivePad maker to foray into Android phone market in 2011

New Delhi: The maker of the first Indian tablet, Olive is now venturing into the Android phone market space. The company is planning to come out with its range of Android operating system based phones in the first week of March 2011. The phones will run on Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS. According to sources, Olive is readying a phone that will challenge the very famous Galaxy S smartphone by Samsung. Olive has not tasted much success with its tablet, OlivePad VT 100. It has ventures in other areas like 3G embedded netbooks and also has a mobile phone. However, the company hasn't been in news for any of its products that much. Now it remains to see what has the company planned the new year, and how will their Android phones fair in the market, considering some very good Android phones are already available in the market.
