Obama views India as the 'cornerstone' between America and Asia

Washington: Ahead of his three day visit starting on November 6, Barack Obama expects to make series of announcements during his visit to the country. The President of U.S. believes that India is the "cornerstone of America's engagement in Asia." Supporting India's rise as a global power, Obama said that, there will be big ticket items on the agenda with PM Manmohan Singh. When asked about the issue of outsourcing to India, Obama said that, "India should give U.S. companies the same access to its markets that U.S. gives." Regarding India's Nuclear Liability Act, Obama said that America is concerned about it and the governments of the two countries are working in the same direction to resolve it.
