Bangalore: In view of the complicated internal security dynamics in India, the existing battlefield management systems need to transition strategically to be able to combat the unconventional conflict situations such as terrorism, Naxalism, insurgencies, urban terrorism etc. Addressing this need, Orkash, an Indian company specializing in intelligence and internal-security/homeland security information systems, has launched a management system specifically designed to meet the requirements of unconventional and low intensity conflict situations. Though the Indian defence and security establishment is not new to network centric tactical operations, Orkash which specializes in the creation of automated intelligence based networked solutions on geospatial platforms, envisages the need for an advanced operational planning, monitoring, intelligence management and decision-support command & control system to help the security forces engage with a more advanced and effective tactical response for unconventional conflicts. A first-of-its-kind product , Orkash's geospatially enhanced platform, ORKASH Unconventional Conflict and Intelligence Management System (ORKASHUCIMS), is operationally capable of collaborating location based intelligence and operations planning and monitoring to facilitate seamless multi agency tactical operations in a dynamic security environment in the midst of civilian population. Orkash is the first Indian company to create such a system for the national and the international forces' community which is geared to address operational and tactical issues in unconventional conflict situations where a 'daily war' is fought in 'peaceful' locations under civilian government's overall control.
