Now, technology allows world to hurl shoes at Bush
Bangalore: On Sunday, it was an Iraqi journalist who hurled a pair of shoes at the outgoing U.S. president George W Bush during a press conference at Baghdad. But just a day after, some technology freaks have come out with some online games that allow the whole world to do the same. Though the games exemplify the advancement and speed at which technology is evolving, the message that pops up at the end of one game -'Yes We Can'-, seemingly bears a political implication. Though Bush had successfully ducked both the throws in the real incident, the games allow the hurler to make sure all the throws hit exactly at the head or the face of President. In one game, the direction of the throw is steered by an arrow-mark that swings constantly to left and right sides. The hurler can cast the shoe, which is placed right behind the arrow, exactly when the arrow comes in the direction of the President, who is sitting in an auditorium. The embarrassing incident had marred Bush's visit to Iraq in order to show off the improved conditions since the troop 'surge' dramatically reduced casualties to U.S. troops, and say good bye to the people of that country. "This is a gift from the Iraqis. This is the farewell kiss, you dog," the journalist, who was identified as Muntadar al-Zaidi, a reporter for Cairo based Al-Baghdadia TV, had shouted in Arabic at the President, while throwing his shoes at him. "This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq," he had said while throwing the second one. The world countries are yet to comment on both the incidents -the real one and the game. Two games can be found here: 1 http://www.kroma.no/2008/bushgame 2 http://bushbash.flashgressive.de/
