Now become a 'green' professional in Abu Dhabi

Dubai:Engineering, IT and science students across the world looking for a "green profession" now have an opportunity to pursue their master's degree and PhD in disciplines related to renewable energy and sustainable technology at an institute in Abu Dhabi. The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi has introduced the degree in Chemical Engineering and PhD programme this year besides a new Interdisciplinary Doctoral Degree Programme (IDDP) designed to give students the flexibility to respond to complicated problems by crossing academic boundaries. The courses will begin in September along with seven other master's degree programmes, Lamya N Fawwaz, Executive Director, Public Affairs, at the institute, told Gulf News. The study programme for the institute has been developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
