Helsinki: The chairman of Nokia, Jorma Ollila announced that they will start lay-off talks of 16,000 product developers this coming April. This announcement comes right after the controversy of Nokia dumping Microsoft for its Tablet The Ollila says that the intention is to restructure their product development globally. However a clear plan of job - cuts had not been made yet. He disclosed that 20-30 Nokia's central share-holders considered the smart phone strategy to be convincing and dumping Microsoft was a right decision. Although the shareholders do not seem to be very happy about the restructuring time taken which is about 18 months to 2 years.
