Nokia bags $275-million Bharti deal

MUMBAI: Bharti Tele-Ventures, the countryÂ’s largest GSM mobile phone services provider, said on Thursday it had agreed to outsource the supply, management and maintenance of networks in five circles to Nokia in a deal worth around $275 million.
The agreement is for three years, it said in a statement.
Bharti, 28-per cent-owned by Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, provides wireless services in 15 of the 23 telecom circles.
