Nokia E7 debuts in Indian markets in 2011

Bangalore: Nokia has in the recent past been in the news more for the wrong reasons than the right ones. However, after facing flak for its power problems related to Nokia N8 phones, the Finnish mobile company has announced that the availability of the flagship phone, the Nokia E7 starting January 2011. The price of the phone is not yet revealed, although expect it to be in the 25,000 to 30,000 price band. The Nokia E7 is the trendier version of the Communicator phone from Nokia's stubble. Nokia E7 was announced earlier in the year at the annual Nokia World event in London. The E7 is a full QWERTY smartphone that runs on Nokia's latest Symbian^3 operating system. The device sports a 4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by an ARM 11 680 MHz processor. It packs in 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM The phone comes with dual cameras, with an 8MP primary camera that gives a resolution of 3264 X 2448 pixels and a VGA secondary camera. The features included in the camera include fixed focus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging and face detection. For its powerful camera, the phone has an inbuilt HDMI port for linking the phone to your HD TV or projector The Nokia E7 has a tilting screen and ships with an internal memory of 16GB. The phone is available in various colors such as Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue and Orange. Although the earlier announcements said the phone would be available in time for Christmas, but recent news surely don't confirm the same. Going by Nokia's fate this year where it has faced lower market shares to problems with its devices, we only hope the revived Communicator that once put Nokia into the limelight would once again prove lucky for the company in its new avatar, Nokia E7.
