BANGALORE: Infosys Technologies said Friday it did not plan to seek the return of its former global sales head and board member once a sexual harassment case he is defending is settled. The company was reacting to reports that suggested that it would ask Phaneesh Murthy back. The company, India's No. 2 software exporter, said in a statement on behalf of chairman N R Narayana Murthy that he had made no statement indicating the return of Phaneesh Murthy “Narayana Murthy categorically denied that he ever made a statement that Phaneesh Murthy would return to Infosys after the case with Reka Maximovitch comes to a conclusion," the statement said. "The report is false," he said. US-based Phaneesh Murthy, who played a pivotal role in driving sales in Infosys' prime market, North America, resigned in July after Maximovitch, an ex-employee and a US citizen, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the company and Phaneesh, who was her boss. An attorney for Maximovitch said last month that Infosys and Maximovitch were in talks to settle the lawsuit.
