Newgen ties up with Toyo Ink, Japan

NEW DELHI: Newgen Software Technologies, a pioneering software product and business process management solutions company, announced a strategic tie-up with Japan’s Toyo Ink which has a $1,671 million sales in its fiscal year of 2002. Toyo Ink will localise Newgen’s products and sell in Japan through their network of sub-dealers and distributors. According to Gartner, "The business process management market is stated to be at $8 billion in the world by 2005. By 2005, at least 90% of large enterprises will have BPM. This technology assists in making the existing processes work better & more effectively and helps corporates get quicker returns on investments." With this initiative Newgen reiterates its domain expertise in document technologies and its expansion in the international market. Toyo Ink with its 40 sub dealers across Japan will market and promote Newgen’s BPM solutions. The tie-up is for a period 3 years. During this time frame Newgen would provide Toyo Ink with its OmniDocs, OmniFlow and OmniReports products which Toyo Ink would localize and resell in Japan. Under this agreement Toyo Ink will take care of pre-sales and post sales service for its customers. Diwakar Nigam, managing director, Newgen Software Technologies, on this tie-up, stated, "This tie-up is Newgen’s initiative to penetrate deeper into the international market and cater to localized needs of its customers. With Newgen’s superior workflow and document management technology and a localized product offering we should get a strong competitive edge in the vibrant Japanese IT market." According to the Japanese Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications, the Japanese Information and Communications market was worth approximately $1055 billion in 2000. Nozaki, Manager, Toyo Ink, Japan states that “ Indian software products are highly evaluated internationally as well as its development capability. We aim at sharing a long and fruitful association with Newgen.
