New Delhi: New Horizons India, the Indian arm of the world's largest IT training solutions provider, bagged the award for the 'Best certified training partner' at the 5th Annual Red Hat Training Partner meet held at Goa recently. This is the fourth year in a row that NHIL has been named best training partner, out of over 120 training partners that Red Hat engages with. Most of the New Horizons centers in India have been offering a comprehensive range of Red Hat certified courses, including Red Hat Desktop Applications, Red Hat Linux Essentials, Red Hat Linux System Administration, Red Hat Linux Security and Networking programs. Over the past 5 years, NH has trained over 1,10,000 professionals of which over 60 percent have gone through the Red hat training modules. Elated on the occasion, Ajay Sharma, President and CEO, New Horizons India, said, "We believe that as IT adoption in India continues to rise, the demand for Linux trained professionals will also increase. We at New Horizons hope to continue to support the industry by offering state of the art training on the latest technologies, so that professionals are able to stay ahead of the demand curve." Researcher IDC estimates that the Indian Linux market will grow by 21percent annually, to $19.9 million in 2010. "One of the major challenges for the Software Industry today is the availability of trained manpower and our partnership with Red Hat and other technology vendors has helped create a strong talent pool of Red Hat qualified Linux professionals in India to meet the demand and supply inequality," Sharma added
