BANGALORE: The apex industry body for the information technology companies Nasscom, is preparing a strategic paper to address issues facing the country's IT industry, according to its Chairman, S Ramadorai. The paper will be submitted to the Government of India by February 2006. He said that it would focus on issues relating to infrastructure, human resource, educational institutions and regulation and policy framework. An expert committee had been constituted to look into the concerns of the IT industry for immediate redress. The report would not be on city-specific but cover the entire country, he said. Ramadorai said, “The objective is to help the industry sustain the potential export growth, estimated at $50 billion by end-2008. The country must gear up to accommodate growth beyond 2008 in the related industries.”
