NSN transfers jobs and services to IT firms

Stockholm: Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) will transfer around 170 employees and the global IT application management services to Accenture, Tieto and Wipro, reports The Wall Street Journal. Nokia Siemens Networks is a joint venture between Finland's Nokia and Germany's Siemens AG, as the transfer will be finalized by Feb 1, 2010. Nokia Siemens CIO, Manfred Immitzer stated that the deal will increase company's flexibility, adding that the company has been in partnerships with Accenture, Tieto and Wipro for many years. As per the agreements, Accenture will provide application management services for human resources and financial control, Tieto will provide research and development and care related applications, and Wipro will provide SAP, delivery, marketing and sales, as well as product data management applications.
