NIIT to invest Rs 50 M for university

MUMBAI: The board of NIIT Ltd. India's top computer education trainer, told the Bombay exchange on Tuesday it had approved an investment of Rs 50 million to set up an university.
The board also approved extending up to Rs 250 million as a loan, subject to the approval of shareholders.
The university will be set up somewhere in northern India and will focus on information technology and emerging technologies, a spokesman for the New Delhi-based company said.
