NIIT Technologies gets Vietnam IT deal
Bangalore: NIIT Technologies, global IT solutions provider announced that it will develop, implement and maintain the cargo operations system (COSYS IS) to support the cargo handling operations at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. NIIT Technologies has partnered with Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) to globally implement and market COSYS IS - the cargo handling solution to other ground handlers and airlines. Arvind Mehrotra, Executive Vice President and Head (Global Strategic Initiatives), NIIT Technologies, said, "This collaboration to implement a system at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam reiterates our functional and technology services leadership position in the travel and transport sector. We through COSYS implementation will help to standardize and streamline the processes". COSYS IS is specifically designed to provide tailor-made e-freight compliant solutions to cargo handling agents and carriers. NIIT Technologies and SATS collectively have vast experience in implementing and maintaining COSYS IS at several airports. Vu Hai Thanh, TCS General Director, said, "With the introduction of COSYS IS by NIIT Technologies, TCS will derive various benefits including better monitoring and control and reduced process redundancies through adoption of best practices to ensure faster processing of cargo, which will result in enhanced customer services." TCS has a strategic partnership with Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) to provide professional ground handling services in Vietnam. Recently, NIIT Technologies also engaged with PT JAS (PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta) to support the cargo handling operations at Jakarta, Bali and Surabaya Airports.
