NIIT, Tally partner to create skilled workforce for SMBs
New Delhi: NIIT, the training and development company and Tally Solutions, a business management software product company, have entered into a global alliance to develop comprehensive business software professionals with an expertise in Tally.ERP 9 product. This global Alliance will cover besides India, international geographies such as the Middle East, Africa, China & Asia- Pacific in order to make talents available to power the growth of Small & Medium Business (SMB) enterprises, in these countries. The programs offered by NIIT and Tally will cater to the requirement of trained business software professionals for the SMB sector. According to industry reports, India needs around 1.3 million business software trained manpower annually to fulfill the talent requirements of 8 million (IT ready) SMB units. "This strategic partnership with NIIT will enable us to create skilled Tally professionals for the growing IT needs of the SMB sector in India and abroad", said Bharat Goenka, Managing Director, Tally Solutions. The alliance will also leverage the potential that the Tally product has generated across industry, and empower an upwardly-mobile SMB segment with aptly-skilled manpower, he added. The programs being announced include training on the latest Tally.ERP 9 software, as well as business processes & soft skills - all of which are required for the comprehensiveness of trained professionals for this sector. In the first phase, the Program will be launched in Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, besides India. The program will be then taken to other countries of mutual interest, progressively. According to Avinash Gupta, President, Tally Solutions, through this strategic alliance with NIIT, Tally is looking at training 1,00,000 high quality ERP professionals over the next 3 years
