NIIT Q4 consolidated net profit surges

NEW DELHI: NIIT Ltd., India's top computer education trainer, said its quarterly consolidated profit was four times higher on improved volumes, a better product mix and more efficient operations. New Delhi-based NIIT, often called the McDonald's of Indian IT training because of its vast reach, reported a fourth quarter consolidated net profit of Rs 80.2 million compared with Rs 10.9 million in the year ago quarter. Revenue in January-March rose 11 percent to Rs 1.65 billion from Rs 1.48 billion a year earlier.
