Murali Sivaraman designated as CEO Philips India.

Bangalore: Philips, the consumer electronics and domestic appliances manufacturer, has inducted Murali Sivaraman as the next CEO of Philips Electronics India. He will succeed K. Ramachandran who retires in October 2007 after a 14-year stint at Philips, with nine years at the helm. K. Ramachandran and Sivaraman will work closely together between July and September to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Sivaraman joins Philips after a 20-year stint at ICI. Over the past 11 years he has held several country head positions including Managing Director, ICI Paints (Singapore), Managing Director, ICI Swire Paints, PRC and Hong Kong, and more recently as President, ICI Canada. A cost and works accountant, and a chartered accountant, he holds a post graduate degree in business management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He completed the advanced management program from Harvard Business School in 2004.
