Mumbai Airport ranks fourth best in the world
Mumbai: Mumbai airport has been ranked fourth in the world for offering best quality services in the category of airports handling 1.5 crore to 2.5 crore passengers per year. It has come to this position by beating international airports of San Francisco and Zurich. The Airport Council International (ACI) that conducts audits on airports awarded the rank. Apart from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi is the only other Indian airport eligible to qualify in the category. Seoul's Gimpo International Airport, Vancouver and Taipei airport in China are three airports which have surpassed Mumbai's airport standard. Airport officials feel enhancement of terminal infrastructure and etiquette training of staff are certainly some of the reasons for upgrading the standard of the airport.
