MphasiS Q3 net up by 52%

BANGALORE: MphasiS BFL has posted a 52 percent growth in its net profit for the quarter ended December 2005 at $9.28 million compared to $6.10 million in the corresponding period last year. Consolidated revenues for the quarter grew by 26 percent to $55.10 million from $43.39 million. MphasiS BFL’s Chairman and CEO, Jerry Rao said, “I am pleased with our results in what has traditionally been a sluggish quarter. We have had robust growth on the top line in both our businesses as also a marked improvement in operating profits.” The company’s operating profit for the quarter has increased by 89 percent to $9.63 million over the corresponding quarter last year. Sequential growth in operating profit was 14 percent at $1.16 million. Revenues from software services grew by eight percent sequentially to $37.65 million in the above-mentioned period and by 41 percent over the same period last year. Rao said, “We expect this trend to continue and reaffirm the guidance given earlier for this financial year.” Even revenues from the BPO business recorded an eight percent sequential growth to $17.44 million, with a 19 percent improvement in operating profit in the same period. During the third quarter, the company added 11 new clients, nine in the software services and two in the BPO business.
