Sustainable Energy
Sustainable energy refers to the provision of energy, which meets the needs of present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainable energy sources include all renewable energy sources such as hydroelectricity, solar energy, wind power, geothermal energy and tidal power. It also includes technologies which improve energy efficiency.
It focuses on the ability of an energy source to continue providing energy, by providing some pollution of the environment, as long as it is not sufficient to prohibit heavy use of the source for an indefinite amount of time.
According to Business Week, the companies to look for are Achates Power (which is testing a clean-burning diesel engine), AltoRock Energy (which has bored wells as deep as four miles to tap geothermal energy), and BioFuelBox (which converts oil-laden sludge from sewage systems, industrial plants, and animal processing factories into clear, odorless diesel fuels).

True, a startup has a lot of opportunities in Cloud Computing as the competition is not very huge today. But in times to come more enterprises will enter the market, and the startup can still enjoy the early market benefits if they can deliver good customer satisfaction. I have been involved with WOLF Frameworks (http://www.wolfframeworks.com) for quite some time now. WOLF is a PaaS company and a Cloud Computing startup in India.

Biofuelbox went out of business in March 2010 because of no takers on the second round of financing. You all should do your homework better!
