Moninder Jain is Logitech's new Country Manager

BANGALORE: Logitech (NASDAQ: LOGI), the world’s leader in computer mice with over 500 million mice sold, announced the appointment of Moninder Jain as its Country Manager. In this capacity Moninder will manage Logitech's Sales and Marketing including new product launch, product distribution and customer satisfaction. Moninder will be based out of Mumbai and will directly report to Gavin Wu, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Logitech Asia Pacific. Speaking on the appointment Gavin Wu, commented, "We are overjoyed to welcome Moninder into Logitech team and are confident that with his presence we can drive a more aggressive growth strategy in India across our product lines. Moninder’s extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Product Management will be a great asset to taking forward Logitech's goals and objectives." Moninder N. Jain has over 10 years quality experience post his M.B.A – majority of it being with the topmost companies in the Indian I.T. and Office Automation industry. Moninder’s education has been from the Indian equivalent of the Ivy League. He completed his M.B.A degree in 1994 from the prestigious Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. This followed his 1992 Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), India’s No. 1 Commerce & Economics College. Prior to joining Logitech, Moninder worked with Samsung India for 5 years in various roles in Sales and Marketing from 1999 to 2004, most recently as the Country Product Head for Samsung I.T. Value & Lifestyle Biz. He also spent 3 years in Business Development roles in Xerox India before his stint at Samsung. On Ground Sales, Channel Relations, Distribution Management, Effective Market Communication and New Business Launching are the key strengths he brings to his role in Logitech as the company prepares itself for the next leap forward as a top peripheral vendor in India. Born in Feb 1972, Moninder’s primary non-work interests are Books, Sci-Fi Movies, Yoga and Crosswords. He is married. His wife – also an MBA - works for Exxon Mobil.
