Microsoft's Zune to hit market by later this year
New York: Microsoft plans to launch its new version of Zune, a portable media player as an answer to the Apple's iPod, later this year in the U.S. The new Zune incorporates features like high-definition video, touch screen technology and Wi-Fi connection. The new media player comes with an Internet browser and built-in Hard Disk radio receiver that offers higher-quality sound than the traditional radio sets. The company added new features to Zune's music service last year, which enables users to download music and buy songs heard on the device's built-in FM radio. Microsoft did not reveal the price and the specific date of launch.
