Microsoft Business Solutions launched in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Navision India, the exclusive distributor for Microsoft Business Solutions in the Indian sub-continent, Monday announced the launch of its products in Punjab. "The company is planning to tie up with companies who will become Microsoft certified business solutions partners," Navison India managing director Yash Nagpal Monday said. "They will be responsible for selling, implementing and developing vertical solutions and will also provide the first level of support to the customer. He said, "The present government in Punjab has already identified the field of information technology as one of the key areas in its economic revival programme. "The government has initiated steps to develop and deploy e-business and e-governance applications on priority, for revenue generating activities and departments dealing with public. "Some of the segments that Navision plans to focus on in Punjab are auto-ancillary, textile, discreet manufacturing, retail, agro related and service industries, though the company's solutions are suitable for all industry segments. We believe Punjab will soon become the IT hub of India." He said Navision India plans to acquire 35 customers in Punjab over the next year, though the company had initially been targeting two cities, Chandigarh and Ludhiana, with plans to extend its offerings to other prominent towns in Punjab later. Nagpal said over 270,000 customers are using Microsoft Business Solutions around the globe and Navision India was its exclusive distributor in India. The product offered a range of business applications for small and medium enterprise businesses in India and they automate end-to-end business processes across financials, distribution, project accounting, electronic commerce, human resources and payroll, manufacturing, supply chain management, business intelligence, sales and marketing management and customer service and support, he said.
