Microchip wins manufacturer of the year award

CHANDLER: Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MCHP) Tuesday announced that is has been awarded the 2003 Co-Manufacturer of the Year in the Large Manufacturer category by Arizona Association of Industries (AAI) for the company's consistent, steady growth and success, and strong support of education in Arizona.
Judging was based on criteria including, utilization of the manufacturer's business, resources and personal leadership skills, contributions to the community, and innovative leadership in regard to products, production methods or services offered, the company claimed.
"Microchip's commitment to the company's Guiding Values are a vital element to our continued success," said Bob Lloyd, vice president of site services for Microchip. "We are honored to receive AAI's Manufacturer of the Year award and the recognition that Microchip consistently delivers quality products and customer service, and is dedicated to supporting the communities and academic institutions of which we are a part."
